Domain Architect - Payments
Job Summary
To support a long-term contract, a Domain Architect - Payments will own the architecture and technical roadmap for payment systems, design workflows and messaging, and ensure compliance while working remotely in the EST or CST time zones.
Key responsibilities
- Own the domain's architecture, technical roadmap, and key decisions related to payment systems
- Design idempotent operations and establish API and event contracts with peer domains
- Architect payment workflows across the order lifecycle, ensuring compliance and reliability
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of engineering experience, with 5+ years in building payment systems
- Expertise in C# / .NET 8+ and experience with Kafka in production
- Proficiency in Azure PaaS and experience with a durable workflow engine like Temporal
- Strong understanding of PCI DSS and tokenization practices
- Experience with domain-driven design and aligning multiple teams on shared architecture
