EDI Analyst
Job Summary
Supporting healthcare EDI workflows for Veterans, the full-time EDI Analyst will manage functional EDI processes, trading-partner requirements, and data-validation rules in a 100% remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and troubleshoot X12/HIPAA transactions, including various transaction types like 270/271 and 837
- Analyze compliance and validation rules, investigating errors at loop, segment, and element levels
- Collaborate with business stakeholders on issue resolution, operational impact assessments, and maintain transaction-flow documentation
Required Qualifications
- At least eight years of Edifecs product experience in EDI, healthcare, or enterprise application operations
- Strong knowledge of X12 transaction structures, SNIP Levels 1-7, and companion guides
- Edifecs certification and familiarity with Edifecs Transaction Management or equivalent tools
- SQL skills for transaction investigation and data reconciliation
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline; equivalent practical experience considered
