Editor for Comic Books

Job Summary

Seeking a motivated Editor for Comic Books to join the team on a full-time remote basis, responsible for acquiring new projects, managing creative development, and ensuring the commercial success of various titles while collaborating with talent and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire and develop new projects while overseeing the creative execution of the BOOM! Studios List
• Act as the primary project manager for scheduling, communication, and production across titles
• Support the Executive Editor's office with scheduling, talent relations, and internal tracking

Required qualifications

• Minimum of five years' experience in comic book and graphic novel editing
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, meeting deadlines and taking initiative
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; expertise in Adobe Creative Suite preferred
• Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of market conditions and trends
