Job Summary

Owning the editorial direction for Shopify's technical narrative, the full-time remote Editorial Lead, Engineering Content will manage the content strategy for the Engineering Blog, maintain the editorial calendar, and collaborate closely with engineering teams to elevate technical work and engage audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute the content strategy for the Shopify Engineering Blog, overseeing topic sourcing and publication
• Maintain the editorial calendar, aligning with engineering stakeholders and ensuring timely content production
• Act as a liaison between business, Communications, and Engineering to enhance Shopify's external narrative

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical editorial, developer content, or technical communications with a portfolio of published work
• Strong technical fluency, capable of interpreting complex technical material and identifying compelling stories
• Demonstrated writing skills with a focus on precise and structured technical content
• Proven ability to manage an editorial operation, maintaining high quality across multiple projects
• High proactivity in sourcing stories and engaging with engineering teams directly
