Job Summary

Owning the editorial direction for Shopify's Engineering Blog, the full-time remote Editorial Lead for Engineering Content will design content strategies, manage the editorial calendar, and collaborate with engineering teams to enhance the visibility of technical work.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement the content strategy for the Shopify Engineering Blog, overseeing topic sourcing, development, and publication
• Maintain the editorial calendar, aligning with engineering stakeholders to ensure timely content production and publication
• Act as a liaison between business, Communications, and Engineering to align content with company goals and external narratives

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical editorial, developer content, or technical communications, with a portfolio of published work
• Strong technical fluency, able to read and interpret technical material effectively
• Proven writing skills with a focus on clarity and structure in technical content
• Experience managing an editorial operation, maintaining quality across multiple content pieces
• High proactivity in sourcing stories and engaging with engineering teams for content development
