Job Summary

Owning the content strategy for Shopify's Engineering Blog, the full-time Editorial Lead for Technical Content will design and manage editorial processes, collaborate with engineering teams, and produce compelling narratives that highlight Shopify's technical achievements in a remote capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and run the content strategy for the Shopify Engineering Blog, overseeing topic sourcing, development, and publication
• Maintain the editorial calendar, aligning stakeholders and ensuring timely content production
• Coach engineers in writing and produce complex technical pieces when necessary, ensuring accuracy and alignment with Shopify's goals

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical editorial, developer content, or technical communications with a portfolio of published work
• Strong technical fluency and the ability to read and interpret complex technical materials
• Demonstrated strong writing skills with a focus on clarity and structure in technical content
• Proven ability to manage an editorial operation, maintaining high quality across multiple projects
• High proactivity in sourcing stories and engaging with engineering teams for content development
