Job Summary

Owning the content strategy for Shopify's Engineering Blog, the full-time remote Editorial Lead, Technical Content will manage editorial calendars, collaborate with engineering teams, and produce high-quality technical narratives that resonate with audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute the content strategy for the Shopify Engineering Blog, from topic sourcing to publication
• Maintain the editorial calendar, aligning stakeholders and ensuring timely content production
• Coach engineers in writing and conduct technical reviews to ensure accuracy and clarity while preserving their voice

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical editorial, developer content, or technical communications with a portfolio of published work
• Strong technical fluency and the ability to read and interpret complex technical material
• Demonstrated writing skills with a focus on precise, structured, and economical prose
• Proven ability to manage an editorial operation and maintain high quality across multiple projects
• High proactivity in sourcing stories and engaging with engineering teams to identify content opportunities
