EHR Integration Specialist
Job Summary
To enhance healthcare interoperability, the remote EHR Integration & Healthcare Interoperability Specialist will support healthcare organizations in connecting their EHR systems to health information exchange platforms, focusing on clinical data quality and interface troubleshooting.
Key responsibilities
- Support healthcare provider onboarding and coordinate with EHR vendors for health information exchange integrations
- Troubleshoot integration issues, including data ingestion failures and message structure errors, while applying interoperability standards
- Provide technical assistance and training to healthcare providers on interoperability tools and data exchange processes
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with EHR platforms such as Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, Allscripts/Veradigm, or NextGen
- 5+ years of experience with healthcare interoperability standards, including HL7 v2, C-CDA, CCD, FHIR, and USCDI
- 5+ years of experience validating structured clinical data and troubleshooting EHR integration issues
- 3+ years of experience interpreting clinical workflows and mapping them to data exchange requirements
- 3+ years of knowledge and experience with HIPAA and healthcare data privacy and security requirements
