EHR Integration Specialist
Job Summary
To support rural healthcare providers, the remote EHR Integration Specialist will lead onboarding to NC HealthConnex, conduct technical assessments, and provide guidance on interoperability standards while ensuring data quality and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead rural provider onboarding to NC HealthConnex, guiding organizations and EHR vendors through connection requirements and data exchange processes
- Provide expert guidance on interoperability standards and evaluate provider submissions for compliance with HIE requirements
- Deliver tailored technical assistance and training to rural providers, enhancing their understanding of NC HealthConnex tools and best practices for interoperability
Required qualifications
- 5 years of experience with Electronic Health Record platforms such as Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, or Allscripts/Veradigm
- 5 years of proficiency with healthcare interoperability standards including HL7 v2, C-CDA, CCD, FHIR, and USCDI
- 5 years of experience validating structured clinical data and troubleshooting EHR integration issues
- 3 years of ability to interpret clinical workflows and map them to data exchange requirements
- 3 years of knowledge of HIPAA and health information privacy/security requirements
