Electrical Design Data Specialist
Job Summary
To support the development of data-driven solutions for electrical systems, the remote contract Electrical Design Data Specialist will define requirements for electrical data collection, review complex eCAD designs, and ensure accurate representation of design intent and electrical logic.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the domain expert by authoring technical requirements and annotation guidelines for capturing electrical engineering intent and design rationale
- Audit incoming electrical design data, ensuring it accurately represents real-world engineering intent across various design tools
- Track and document design changes to create datasets explaining modifications in electrical schematics and related parameters
Required Qualifications
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with electrical design, including schematics and wiring
- Strong understanding of electrical design fundamentals and design-for-manufacturing considerations
- Hands-on experience with E/E design software such as Siemens Capital or ePlan
- Proficiency in Python or a comparable scripting language for design automation
