Electrical Designer
Job Summary
Collaborating with engineering teams, the full-time Electrical Designer will develop technical design solutions for building projects, ensuring adherence to codes and aesthetic requirements, while working remotely or from office locations.
Key responsibilities:
- Designs building components by integrating architectural design and complying with applicable codes
- Evaluates engineering design requirements and creates supporting drawings for construction projects
- Performs calculations, code research, and site surveys to document existing and new construction conditions
Required qualifications:
- Proficient in engineering software, including AutoCAD and Revit MEP
- Strong knowledge of building electrical systems and familiarity with architectural design concepts
- Completion of related post-secondary education
- 4-7 years of project work experience in electrical engineering building systems
- Registration with a relevant professional engineering association is an asset
