Job Summary
Leading a team of electrical engineers in a full-time remote capacity, the Electrical Engineering Manager will oversee design work for custom switchgear and power distribution projects, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and industry standards while developing team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of electrical engineers, setting clear goals and expectations
- Review and approve drawing packages and bills of material (BOMs) before release, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards
- Provide technical direction on the design and validation of electrical systems for switchgear and related equipment
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of design engineering experience with switchgear, switchboards, or power distribution equipment
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership, supervisory, or management role
- Power engineering experience with LV and MV switchgear and switchboards (120V to 38kV)
- Understanding of NRTL certifications and UL listings, including UL 891 and UL 1558
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings
