Job Summary
Detail-oriented and experienced, the remote Senior Electrical Estimator will support preconstruction and proposal development for medium and high-voltage power delivery projects, focusing on developing accurate cost estimates for substation construction, expansion, and modernization while collaborating with engineering, project management, and procurement teams.
Key responsibilities
- Develop accurate cost estimates for substation construction and modernization projects
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, and procurement teams to ensure competitive bids
- Interpret engineering drawings, one-lines, and construction specifications for effective project planning
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of estimating or project experience within power delivery, utilities, or heavy electrical construction
- Experience estimating substation projects and understanding of substation components
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and construction specifications
