Embedded Software Engineer

Job Summary

Contributing to embedded software projects from design through release, the full-time Embedded Software Engineer will independently develop and test software for real-time, hardware-connected systems while collaborating with experienced engineers in an agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Independently design and deliver complex software components while seeking guidance on unfamiliar technologies
• Implement assigned features in cross-functional development projects and participate in design reviews
• Support release testing and provide bug verification for specific aspects of assigned projects

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent technical training
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in embedded software development for at least one processor architecture (e.g., x86, MIPS, ARM)
• Working knowledge of embedded software fundamentals, including memory management and hardware-software integration
• Professional experience developing and debugging embedded software in C or C++; experience with both languages is desirable
• Experience with real-time operating systems and diagnosing embedded software issues using debugging tools
