Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Attorney, the full-time position allows for flexible hours and can be performed remotely or in any of the listed office locations, focusing on providing comprehensive legal counsel in employee benefits and executive compensation matters, particularly in corporate transactions.
Key responsibilities
- Research tax and ERISA issues related to retirement and welfare plans, compensation arrangements, and executive agreements
- Review statutory and regulatory changes, advising clients on compliance strategies
- Assist with due diligence and benefits integration in corporate transactions, including drafting employment and incentive agreements
Required qualifications
- At least 8 years of law firm experience in employee benefits and executive compensation
- Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and corporate transactions
- Knowledge of IRS and Department of Labor correction programs
- Familiarity with Code Section 409A compliance
- Ability to draft and review complex legal agreements related to employee benefits
