Key responsibilities
- Research tax and ERISA issues related to retirement plans and compensation arrangements
- Review statutory and regulatory changes to advise clients on compliance strategies
- Assist with due diligence and drafting agreements in the context of corporate transactions
Required qualifications
- At least 8 years of law firm experience in employee benefits and executive compensation
- Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
- Knowledge of IRS and Department of Labor correction programs
- Familiarity with ESOP transactions and Code Section 409A compliance
- Ability to draft employment and incentive agreements
