Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Attorney, the full-time position offers flexibility in title and hours while focusing on employee benefits and executive compensation counseling, including issues related to corporate transactions, with remote work options available.
Key responsibilities
- Research tax and ERISA issues affecting retirement and welfare plans, compensation arrangements, and executive agreements
- Review statutory and regulatory changes to provide effective compliance strategies for clients
- Assist with due diligence, purchase agreement reviews, and benefits integration in corporate transactions
Required qualifications
- At least 8 years of law firm experience in employee benefits and executive compensation
- Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures related to employee benefits
- Proficiency in drafting employment agreements and incentive arrangements
- Knowledge of IRS and Department of Labor correction program filings
- Understanding of ESOP transactions and Code Section 409A compliance
