Employment Law Counsel
Job Summary
Providing legal counsel and strategic support, the full-time remote Employment Law Counsel will focus on employment law matters, employee relations, and litigation management while collaborating with Human Resources and business leaders to mitigate risk and align with business objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on employment-related issues, including performance management, workplace conduct, and terminations
- Conduct legal research on federal and state employment laws and draft employment-related legal documents
- Assist with internal investigations and manage litigation holds and employment-related disputes
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 2+ years of employment law experience in a law firm or corporate legal department
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations
- Experience advising on employee relations and workplace investigations preferred
