Engagement Quality Reviewer
Job Summary
To support the National Attest Office, a part-time Engagement Quality Reviewer will review engagements under PCAOB standards, focusing on Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) engagements, while evaluating compliance with financial statements, audit workpapers, and related documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Perform engagement quality reviews focusing on audit quality and compliance with PCAOB standards
- Review PCAOB-related financial statements and documentation for adherence to professional standards and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with engagement teams to communicate review observations and support timely completion of filing deadlines
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of public accounting experience with significant audit experience serving public companies, SPACs, or PCAOB-inspected engagements
- Prior experience as an engagement quality reviewer or in a technical review role
- Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP, PCAOB standards, and SEC reporting requirements
- Experience with pre- and post-SPAC IPOs and related audit considerations
- Strong analytical ability and critical thinking skills, with a commitment to professionalism and confidentiality
