Job Summary
Seeking a hands-on player-coach, the full-time remote Head of Engineering will lead and grow the engineering team while directly shipping code, focusing on scaling the AVA platform and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.
Key responsibilities
- Own the architecture and full-stack systems, managing integrations and maintaining the core technology stack
- Ensure data confidence and traceability by overseeing data pipelines and reporting accuracy
- Drive quality and delivery standards through streamlined processes and compliance with security regulations
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of engineering leadership experience or 5+ years in AI-native environments
- 5+ years of experience building production systems, with a focus on data engineering and AI integration
- Strong cloud infrastructure experience, preferably with GCP, including knowledge of CI/CD practices
- Full-stack capability with proficiency in Ruby on Rails and familiarity with modern frontend frameworks
- Experience using AI coding agents in real codebases and structuring repositories for optimal output
