Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading the engineering organization in a remote capacity, the full-time Engineering Manager will focus on people management, operational effectiveness, and engineering quality while enabling the Founder & CTO to concentrate on strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Directly manage engineering team members across various domains, ensuring clarity in role expectations and performance evaluations
• Establish quality standards for engineering processes and collaborate with product teams to ensure project requirements are met before implementation
• Run effective operational practices within the engineering team, coordinating with cross-functional partners and resolving conflicts promptly

Required qualifications

• Substantial software engineering experience with a focus on technical leadership in a SaaS or enterprise software environment
• Proven success in managing engineering teams, including goal setting and performance management
• Strong knowledge of modern software delivery practices, including code review and operational reliability
• Technical credibility in software or SaaS applications, engaging effectively with various stakeholders
• Experience leading distributed teams and fostering accountability without constant supervision
