Engineering Manager
Job Summary
Seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager, the full-time remote position will lead the backend and infrastructure team, focusing on maintaining and enhancing a live trading platform while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability and performance.
Key responsibilities
- Hire, onboard, and manage a team of backend and full-stack engineers while conducting regular performance reviews
- Partner with Product to scope and prioritize platform enhancements and integrations
- Guide architecture decisions for scalable APIs and backend services, ensuring high code quality and production reliability
Required qualifications
- Prior experience managing or leading engineering teams with a hands-on engineering background
- Proficiency in full-stack or backend technologies, including React, Python, Node.js, or Go
- Experience with REST APIs, WebSocket services, and third-party platform integrations
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies like Docker/Kubernetes
- Comfort with operating and scaling distributed production systems
