Engineering Manager

Job Summary

To lead a high-performing team, the full-time remote Engineering Manager will manage senior and staff engineers, oversee project delivery, and ensure operational health while collaborating closely with product and executive teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and grow a team of senior and staff engineers, ensuring clear expectations and early problem resolution
• Own project delivery by running planning and execution processes, maintaining clear scope and visible progress
• Be accountable for operational health, including reliability, incident response, and compliance with security obligations

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing software engineers, including senior and staff-level individual contributors
• Strong engineering background with experience in building and operating backend or distributed systems at scale
• Proven ability to own delivery for a team, including planning, prioritization, and accountability for outcomes
• Experience managing on-call and incident response for production systems with real availability expectations
• Demonstrated success in building an interview process and hiring effectively
