Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a hands-on engineering team, the full-time remote Engineering Manager will own the architecture, hire top engineers, and write production code for a money-movement product with significant financial impact.

Key responsibilities

• Write and ship production code, taking on critical-path work and unblocking team members
• Own the system architecture, making design decisions that ensure correctness, legibility, and scalability
• Build and onboard a high-performing engineering team while maintaining a rigorous hiring process and high engineering standards

Required qualifications

• Experience leading engineering for a consumer money product, such as a neobank or crypto money app
• Proven track record of leading a small team while actively shipping code
• Experience managing production operations for a money system, including incident resolution and observability
• Familiarity with integrating regulated third-party financial services
• Strong background in agile delivery processes with a focus on quality and speed
