Engineering Manager
Job Summary
Leading the development of Rosalind Workbench, the full-time Engineering Manager will build and manage a team of engineers, drive technical planning and delivery, and shape the architecture of scientific workflows in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Build and lead the engineering team, establishing ownership and accountability across product and infrastructure work
- Drive technical planning and delivery by translating scientific and customer needs into scoped milestones
- Shape the Workbench architecture, guiding development across scientific interfaces and ensuring reproducibility in scientific work
Required qualifications
- Experience managing engineering teams that ship and operate complex software products
- Strong software engineering fundamentals with the ability to work across user-facing applications and backend services
- Experience turning early prototypes or research capabilities into reliable products for external customers
- Familiarity with scientific software, computational biology, or laboratory workflows
- Knowledge of workflow orchestration and reproducible computation
