Key responsibilities
- Foster strong relationships among engineers and cross-functional teams to enhance collaboration and project execution
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of engineers, setting clear expectations and growth opportunities
- Partner closely with Product and Design to shape product priorities and scope, ensuring alignment with engineering perspectives
Required qualifications
- Proven experience managing software engineers and developing technical individual contributors
- Strong background in backend or full-stack engineering with credibility in architecture and design discussions
- Ability to balance empowering engineers with providing leadership and direction when necessary
- Experience managing technical dependencies with partner teams
- Comfortable using AI tools and identifying opportunities for AI to enhance engineering workflows
