Engineering Manager
Job Summary
To lead a dedicated team in building member-facing systems, the full-time remote Engineering Manager will oversee squad delivery, manage sprint activities, and actively participate in coding while ensuring operational excellence and team development.
Key responsibilities
- Own the squad's delivery through sprint shaping, prioritization, backlog grooming, and estimation
- Ship production code every sprint and improve cycle time without compromising quality
- Partner with the Product Strategist to align on project scope and ensure clear communication within the squad
Required qualifications
- 6+ years in software engineering, including at least 2 years in a management role
- Proven track record of shipping mission-critical software to production
- Experience in prioritization and estimation for a development team
- Hands-on experience with current production code in relevant tech stacks (e.g., Ruby, Python, React, iOS, Android)
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes, logging, monitoring, and telemetry
