Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a remote team, the full-time Engineering Manager will oversee the Notifications Platform, guiding the development of scalable systems for push, email, and in-app notifications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product delivery and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and operate the Notifications Platform, ensuring high availability and scalability
• Set technical direction for platform capabilities, including APIs, eventing, and delivery orchestration
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve developer experience and launch notification features efficiently

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of experience managing engineering teams
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or management of large-scale distributed systems
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, service-oriented architectures, and APIs in production
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and observability tooling
• Proven ability to set technical direction and balance team autonomy with platform consistency
