Job Summary
Leading a backend engineering team, the full-time remote Engineering Manager will oversee delivery, unblock team priorities, and ensure technical excellence while managing customer communications and escalations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and grow the backend engineering team, managing performance and career development
- Communicate technical issues clearly to customers and coordinate engineering responses to escalations
- Ensure production readiness and oversee deployment processes on GCP and DigitalOcean
Required qualifications
- 8+ years in software engineering, with experience as an Engineering Manager or lead
- BE/Btech graduate
- Proficient in Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript) and/or Go for design review and debugging
- Experience with distributed backend systems and cloud service deployment (GCP and/or DigitalOcean)
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical issues to both customers and leadership
