Key responsibilities
- Build, lead, and grow a team managing mission-critical infrastructure
- Shape the roadmap in collaboration with teams across Shopify to ensure platform scalability
- Stay hands-on by shipping code and participating in on-call rotations
Required qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, Kubernetes, GCP, or other streaming technologies
- Prior experience managing a high-performing team responsible for data-intensive infrastructure
- Demonstrated ability to hire, grow, and shape a high-performance engineering team
- Technical proficiency to review designs and ship code alongside the team
- Experience using AI to enhance engineering processes
