Job Summary
Leading a skilled team of engineers, the full-time remote Engineering Manager will oversee the design, development, and maintenance of services, applications, and APIs while providing technical leadership and managing day-to-day engineering execution.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers through recruitment, performance management, and career development
- Own day-to-day engineering execution, including planning, prioritization, and resolving technical delivery blockers
- Provide hands-on technical leadership through architecture discussions, code reviews, and contributions to production code
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong background in backend development
- 2+ years of engineering management experience, including direct people management and mentoring
- Strong experience with Python, Go, or similar backend languages and designing RESTful APIs
- Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization
