Engineering Manager, eCommerce
Job Summary
Leading a distributed team of engineers, the full-time remote Engineering Manager, eCommerce will oversee the migration to a headless frontend on Next.js and Vercel while actively participating in coding, mentoring, and aligning engineering efforts with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and grow a team of approximately 10 engineers across multiple countries, ensuring high standards and effective collaboration
- Write production code regularly, conduct code reviews, and guide technical design decisions within the codebase
- Manage the migration from Salesforce Commerce Cloud to a headless frontend, maintaining site performance and SEO integrity throughout the process
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a player-coach or engineering manager role
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud and modern frontend technologies, including JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
- Demonstrated experience implementing AI across the software development lifecycle
- Proven ability to lead distributed teams and manage a blended workforce of full-time employees and contractors
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
