Engineering Manager, Governance & Access

Job Summary

Leading the Governance & Access team, the full-time Engineering Manager will manage the development of security, governance, and access capabilities for Render's platform, ensuring effective team management and architectural decision-making in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Governance & Access team while defining the roadmap for identity and access management
• Make key technical and architectural decisions regarding access, identity, and governance systems
• Collaborate with product and design partners to align the roadmap with customer and platform needs

Required qualifications

• Strong people leadership skills with a focus on team development and performance management
• Experience in building and scaling teams from an early stage
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and adapt as the team's scope evolves
• Proven track record of managing engineers and participating in hiring processes
• Experience working closely with product and design teams
