Engineering Manager, Governance Intelligence
Job Summary
Leading a team of engineers and ML experts, the full-time Engineering Manager, Governance Intelligence will design, build, and maintain backend services and frontend interfaces for the OIG product, ensuring compliance with government security standards while working in a hybrid environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development of key Intelligence features powered by machine learning and AI systems
- Own the end-to-end AI product lifecycle, from problem framing to continuous improvement based on production signals
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure software deployments meet stringent governmental security standards
Required qualifications
- 10+ years in software engineering, including 3+ years in a management role
- Hands-on experience with Java, Python, or TypeScript, and familiarity with REST or gRPC APIs
- Experience with CI/CD tools, containers, and major cloud platforms
- Proven ability to define scalable backend architectures and integrate complex APIs
- Solid understanding of web authentication and authorization fundamentals
