Engineering Manager, Identity & Access

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager, Identity & Access, who will manage a team of engineers and drive the technical direction for authentication and authorization systems in a full-time, remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for the identity and access platform
• Manage, coach, and grow a team of backend and frontend engineers while setting clear expectations and providing feedback
• Lead technical designs, review critical code paths, and participate in incident response and debugging efforts

Required qualifications

• At least three years of experience managing software engineers, including hiring and performance management
• Substantial hands-on experience building identity, authentication, and authorization systems at scale
• Strong architectural judgment with experience designing systems that other teams rely on
• Technical proficiency with the ability to debug complex authentication or authorization issues
• Experience dealing with real-world identity and authorization security challenges
