Engineering Manager - Identity Governance

Job Summary

Leading a team of experienced engineers, the full-time Engineering Manager - Identity Governance will manage Thrivent's IGA products and services remotely, focusing on strategic direction, operational responsibilities, and fostering a high-performing team culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team, establishing clear expectations and providing regular feedback and coaching
• Own the engineering health and evolution of identity governance capabilities, partnering with Product Management to define strategies and outcomes
• Guide technical strategy and solution design, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards while empowering engineers to make technical decisions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent work experience
• 8+ years of experience in Information Technology, including 5+ years in a relevant IT discipline
• 3+ years of leadership experience in an IT discipline, with a focus on managing high-performance teams
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams while maintaining strong technical involvement
• Strong competency in project management and execution of large projects
