Job Summary
Leading two engineering teams in a remote full-time capacity, the Engineering Manager, Messaging will drive the technical direction of the Messaging and Applications teams, focusing on building patient communication systems and web applications that enhance health equity outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Own hiring, performance management, and career growth for engineers across the Messaging and Applications teams
- Manage the technical direction and reliability of the messaging platform and provider application, ensuring compliance and performance
- Collaborate with Product and Design to deliver user-centric products that measure impact on health equity
Required qualifications
- Experience managing engineering teams through a full performance cycle, including hiring and feedback
- Proven ownership of a customer-facing production application, particularly in regulated environments
- Experience with high-volume messaging or customer communication infrastructure
- Ability to lead teams working in a shared codebase while maintaining clear ownership boundaries
- Familiarity with health equity principles and their application in engineering priorities
