Job Summary
To lead the development of a next-generation AI decisioning layer, the remote Engineering Manager, Orchestration will manage a founding team of engineers, shape technical direction, and drive production initiatives while fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities:
- Recruit, mentor, and grow a founding team of engineers for the orchestration platform
- Partner with senior technical stakeholders to define architecture, scope, and milestones for the system
- Drive key initiatives from concept to delivery, ensuring high-quality, reliable systems are shipped
Required qualifications:
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in a management role
- Experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems that are fault-tolerant and highly available
- Hands-on experience with microservice architectures and modern cloud environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform
- Strong foundation in Python, with additional experience in Elixir or other concurrent programming languages as a plus
- Proven track record of exemplary software engineering practices, including system design and CI/CD
