Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of 6-12 individual contributors while collaborating with peer managers and reporting to the director
- Address cutting-edge language and framework challenges to scale the largest Rails application globally
- Coach and develop engineers passionate about Ruby and Rails, ensuring high performance in a remote-first setting
Required Qualifications
- Proven engineering management experience
- Deep technical expertise in programming language internals or web framework development
- Experience implementing language internals, designing type systems, or developing web application frameworks
- Familiarity with Ruby and/or Ruby on Rails preferred, or comparable expertise in other languages/frameworks
- Excitement about AI and its potential impact on coding practices
