Job Summary
Leading a team of Site Reliability Engineers, the full-time Engineering Manager, Site Reliability will manage engineering efforts to enhance the reliability, scalability, and performance of Instacart's technology platform in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Site Reliability Engineers, establishing goals and supporting professional growth
- Set technical direction and priorities for improving system reliability and operational readiness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define reliability standards and drive incident management initiatives
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Seven or more years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering
- Two or more years of experience managing or leading engineering teams
- Professional experience with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and production technologies
- Experience with production incident response and reliability improvement initiatives
