Job Summary
To support the implementation of climate transparency initiatives, the home-based Enhanced Transparency Consultant will provide technical coordination and quality assurance for the preparation of Timor-Leste's combined Biennial Transparency Report and Third National Communication, collaborating with national and international experts over a 60-day engagement period.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct an inception assessment and prepare an integrated workplan for the combined BTR1/NC3
- Guide national teams on reporting requirements for NDC tracking, mitigation, and adaptation
- Lead report integration and final technical editing for national validation and submission readiness
Required qualifications
- Advanced degree in environmental management, climate change, or a related field; bachelor's degree requires two additional years of experience
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in climate change transparency reporting and technical coordination
- Working knowledge of English
- Experience with UNFCCC and Paris Agreement reporting requirements
- Proven ability to establish integrated reporting roadmaps and quality assurance workflows
