Enrolled Actuary, Pension Director

Job Summary

To lead and establish the Pension & Retirement Plan Actuarial business unit, the full-time Managing Director, Pension Director will provide actuarial sign-off, manage client relationships, and define service offerings while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Pension & Retirement Plan Actuarial business unit, overseeing strategy, client relationships, quality, and financial performance
• Serve as the credentialed actuary of record, providing sign-off on funding valuations and related work
• Originate and grow the client base by leveraging existing relationships or building new ones quickly

Required qualifications

• Credentialed as an Enrolled Actuary or equivalent with authority to sign funding valuations
• Extensive experience in pension and retirement plan funding valuations, accounting disclosures, and regulatory reporting
• A portable book of business or the ability to quickly establish a client base
• Experience as a senior practitioner or independent in the actuarial field
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on leveraging AI-driven workflows in actuarial processes
