Job Summary
Supporting the Actuarial Department, the full-time Entry-Level Actuarial Analyst will perform Medical Cost Action Plan evaluations, assist with forecasting and predictive modeling, and analyze health insurance claims data to identify cost-containment opportunities in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform Medical Cost Action Plan evaluations across multiple lines of business
- Assist with forecasting and predictive modeling activities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data for financial, utilization, and actuarial reporting
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field
- Zero to two years of actuarial, statistical, or healthcare analytics experience
- Successful completion of at least one Society of Actuaries (SOA) actuarial exam
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Microsoft Access preferred
- Experience with SAS, SQL, R, Python, or similar programming and data analysis tools
