Entry Level Mainframe Technician
Job Summary
Working in the Command Center of a large multinational bank, the contracted Entry Level Mainframe Technician will manage mainframe availability, utilizing virtual connectivity tools while adhering to security and operational policies, with a shift structure of 12 hours in-office during the week and remote on Saturdays.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure the availability of mainframe systems in a 24X7 environment
- Utilize virtual connectivity techniques to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Exercise privileged Mainframe access while adhering to strict security protocols
Required qualifications
- Knowledge of IBM Z Mainframe and z/OS or OS/390 operations
- Familiarity with JCL and batch problem diagnostic skills
- Understanding of data transfer protocols such as NDM and FTP
- Availability to work the required shift schedule, including Saturdays
- Willingness to undergo extensive training provided by the company
