Job Summary
Working remotely on a contracted basis, the Entry Level Mainframe Technician will support the Command Center of a multinational bank by ensuring mainframe availability, adhering to security policies, and utilizing virtual communication tools for collaboration.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain mainframe operations to ensure continuous availability
- Utilize virtual connectivity tools for effective communication and collaboration with team members
- Adhere to security and operational policies while managing privileged access to the mainframe
Required qualifications
- Knowledge of IBM Z Mainframe and z/OS
- Familiarity with JCL and batch problem diagnostic skills
- Experience with data transfer protocols such as NDM and FTP
- Previous experience in a financial firm is a plus
- Willingness to undergo extensive training provided for the role
