Job Summary
Supporting national occupational safety and health programs, the full-time remote Entry-Level Safety Data Analyst will analyze workplace injury and illness data, draft incident narratives, and classify cases using the Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Injury and Illness Classification System.
Key responsibilities
- Review and classify workplace injury, illness, and fatality records using standardized codes
- Draft clear incident narratives summarizing case circumstances in concise language
- Collaborate with team members for quality checks and contribute to process improvements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, health/environmental science, mathematics/statistics, or a related field
- 0 to 5 years of experience in a relevant field
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply classification rules consistently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications
- Willingness to learn new software and technical skills as needed
