Environmental Underwriting Specialist
Job Summary
To support the growth of the Northeast Environmental Impairment Liability book, the full-time Environmental Underwriting Specialist will engage in underwriting and servicing environmental accounts, drive marketing initiatives, and collaborate with internal teams while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Underwrite and service new and renewal environmental accounts, negotiating terms and managing risk appetite
- Drive marketing initiatives and build strong relationships with brokers through excellent customer service
- Develop new business opportunities by actively marketing and collaborating with cross-functional teams
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in environmental underwriting; experience with environmental consulting is a plus
- Degree in Risk Management and Insurance, Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, or Biology
- Outstanding technical skills for analyzing complex data from multiple sources
- Ability to utilize AI tools to enhance efficiency and support data-driven decisions
- Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders
