Epic Inpatient Orders Analyst
Job Summary
To support healthcare operations, the full-time Epic Inpatient Orders Analyst will configure and optimize Inpatient Order Entry and Provider Documentation applications within the Epic EHR, serving as a liaison between end-users and operational leaders in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the primary support contact for end users of the Epic applications, troubleshooting issues and guiding workflow design
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze, test, and implement changes to the Epic system, ensuring it meets organizational needs
- Maintain regular communication with Epic representatives and participate in project team meetings to review project status and deliverables
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in clinical, Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Computer Systems, or equivalent experience in healthcare or IT
- Epic Certification in the respective application upon hire or within 9 months of employment
- Prior analyst experience with inpatient order entry and knowledge of clinical operations and workflows
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with infection control regulatory reporting requirements and antimicrobial stewardship programs
