EPR Compliance Director
Job Summary
To support the National Program Operations Team, the remote Director - EPR Compliance will provide regulatory and technical guidance on developing and implementing extended producer responsibility (EPR) programs, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements while overseeing reporting categories and providing support to various internal departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and maintenance of material reporting categories and ensure alignment with the national reporting framework
- Conduct regulatory analyses of covered materials and assist in developing tools for producer compliance reviews
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide guidance on material reporting and support material definition development
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in public policy, sustainability, environmental science, materials science, or a related discipline; Master's degree preferred
- At least 10+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, government relations, or policy analysis related to EPR program implementation
- Strong knowledge of the packaging regulatory landscape, including labeling and transportation regulations
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
