Job Summary
Handling claims for equine-related policies, the full-time Claims Technical Specialist will ensure compliance with claim handling guidelines, analyze information for accurate evaluations, and maintain system data while providing exceptional customer service, with the option to work remotely or from Lexington, KY, or Ocala, FL.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with established claim handling guidelines regarding coverage, investigation, evaluation, and resolution of claims
- Gather and analyze information necessary for accurate claim evaluations and effective resolutions
- Maintain accurate system data and documentation while providing exceptional customer service to external customers and agents
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in equine, livestock, or farm insurance claims
- Possess a valid adjuster license and have completed relevant insurance courses or industry designations
- Working knowledge of state-specific claim handling guidelines and legal principles related to equine insurance
- College degree preferred
- Equine industry knowledge preferred
